Giving & Redeeming a MyChoice Certificate

What is a MyChoice Certificate?
A MyChoice Certificate is a gift certificate that can be redeemed at MyChoiceGiftCards.com. Redeeming a MyChoice Certificate allows it to be exchanged for merchant gift cards or certificates from hundreds of national stores, restaurants, hotels, and more. MyChoice Certificates are redeemable only at MyChoiceGiftCards.com and cannot be used on the websites or in the stores of our merchant partners. MyChoice Certificates are not redeemable for cash.

How can MyChoice Certificates be delivered?
MyChoice Certificates can be delivered by email or postal mail.

Do MyChoice Certificates expire?
No. MyChoice Certificates never expire. As long as you have a valid MyChoice Gift Code that has not previously been redeemed, you may redeem it online at MyChoiceGiftCards.com or by calling 1-800-440-2065.

I have a QuickGifts Certificate – is that the same thing as a MyChoice Certificate?
Yes. QuickGifts Certificates that were issued prior to November 1, 2006. A QuickGifts Certificate will have an 8-digit unique PIN that is required to redeem, whereas a MyChoice Certificate will have a 9-digit Gift Code. Any customer in possession of a QuickGifts Certificate may redeem their certificate at MyChoiceGiftCards.com or by calling 1-800-440-2065.

How do I redeem a MyChoice Certificate?
  1. Visit the MyChoice Certificate Redemption Center and enter your MyChoice Certificate Gift Code(s).
  2. Shop our Gift Card Mall and select the gift cards(s) you would like.
  3. When you checkout, the amount of your MyChoice Certificate is applied to your order total. Checkout is complete when you receive your Order Confirmation Number.
  4. QuickGifts will email or mail the gift certificate(s) you selected.
How do I find my Gift Code? My certificate has a PIN, but no Gift Code.
Your MyChoice Certificate Gift Code is displayed in the box at the upper right-hand side of your MyChoice Certificate. If you are unable to view your MyChoice Certificate online, the Gift Code is also included in the email you received notifying you of your gift.

If your certificate lists an 8-digit PIN instead of a 9-digit Gift Code, you are likely in possession of a QuickGifts Certificate. QuickGifts Certificates were issued prior to November 1, 2006, and may be redeemed at MyChoiceGiftCards.com or by calling 1-800-440-2065.

Can I split my MyChoice Certificate between multiple merchants?
Yes. You can use any combination of merchant gift cards to add up to or exceed the value of your MyChoice Certificate. If you go over the value of your MyChoice Certificate, you may pay the balance with a credit card when you checkout.

I don’t have enough value on my MyChoice Certificate to redeem for the merchant I want. Can I add value to my MyChoice Certificate?
Yes. If the merchant gift card(s) you have selected exceeds the value of your MyChoice Certificate, you may enter a credit card during checkout to pay the balance.

Can I take my MyChoice Certificate into a merchant's store to shop?
No. A MyChoice Certificate must be redeemed on the MyChoice Gift Cards website or by calling Customer Service at 1-800-440-2065. Once you have redeemed your MyChoice Certificate, you will be issued the merchant gift card(s) of your choice, which you can then take into a store or use to shop online (depending on the merchant).

Once I redeem my MyChoice Certificate, how do I get my gift card(s)?
It depends on the merchant(s) you select when redeeming. If you would like to shop online rather than in a physical store, you may select a merchant from our list of online merchants, and your gift card will be sent to your email address. If you select a non-online merchant (which includes all restaurants, theaters, and hotels), your gift card(s) will be mailed to you at the address you enter when redeeming.

How long does it take to receive my merchant gift card(s) after redeeming a MyChoice Certificate?
There is generally a one business day processing time after redemption before gift card requests are fulfilled. Once the redemption request has been processed, gift cards will either be sent via email (for online merchants) or by U.S. Mail (for non-online merchants). U.S. Mail shipments are sent with First Class service, which generally delivers within 3-5 business days.

Please note: Due to unforeseen demand for certain merchant gift cards, the processing time for redemption requests may occasionally extend beyond the standard one business day. You will receive an email notification from MyChoice Gift Cards as soon as your gift card(s) have been shipped.

Do I have to pay for shipping when I redeem a MyChoice Certificate?
Shipping by U.S. First Class Mail is free when redeeming a MyChoice Certificate. You may also choose to upgrade your shipping method if you wish to receive your gift cards more quickly. Shipping upgrades will be charged a fee that may be paid by credit card when you checkout.

What merchant gift certificates does MyChoice Gift Cards offer?
MyChoice Gift Cards offers branded gift cards from over 100 national merchants, including stores, restaurants, entertainment venues, and more. The gift cards distributed by MyChoice Gift Cards are the exact same gift cards that you would buy if you purchased directly from the merchant.

How can merchant gift cards be delivered?
Merchant gift cards may be delivered directly to your recipient via postal mail, or you may notify your recipient of their gift via email. Gift cards sent through the mail will be shipped using the method selected during checkout (US Mail or Priority Mail), and will include a printed certificate including your gift message.

Merchant gift cards that are sent via email notification will allow your recipient to view a certificate with your gift message online. They will then enter their gift code and mailing address, and the gift card will be sent via mail or email (depending on the merchant selected).

If I send a merchant gift card via email, can my recipient print it out and shop at the merchant location?
No. Merchant gift cards that are sent via email notification will allow your recipient to view a certificate with your gift message online. They will then enter their Gift Code and mailing address, and the gift card will be sent via mail or email (depending on the merchant selected).

The email notification allows you to inform your recipient of their gift immediately. It is a perfect way to send a gift when you are shopping last-minute, or when you do not know the address where the gift card should be sent.

Do merchant gift cards expire?
Merchant gift cards all have unique terms and conditions that are stipulated by the specific merchant company. Many of our merchant gift cards do not expire, but others may carry an expiration date of anywhere from 12 to 24 months from the date of issue.

What if a merchant is no longer in business?
MyChoice Gift Cards is not responsible for merchants that are no longer in businesses or have changed their location.

My merchant gift card was lost or stolen. What do I do?
Since our merchants treat gift certificates like cash, MyChoice Gift Cards is unable to replace gift certificates if they are lost or stolen after they are received.

Can I return or exchange my merchant gift card or MyChoice Certificate?
Merchant gift certificates and MyChoice Certificates purchased at MyChoice Gift Cards cannot be returned or exchanged.

What credit cards do you accept?
MyChoice Gift Cards accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

Can I pay by check, PayPal, or Electronic Funds Transfer?
MyChoice Gift Cards cannot accept checks or payments via PayPal or EFT at our website. If you are a company interested in setting-up a corporate rewards or incentives program and would like to pay by check or EFT, please contact us directly at (512) 440-7422 to discuss your specific needs.

What is a credit card Security Code (CSC) and why is it required?
The Card Security Code (CSC) is a security feature for credit card transactions, giving protection against credit card fraud. For your protection, the CSC is required for all orders placed at MyChoiceGiftCards.com.

How do I find my credit card Security Code (CSC)?
American Express: The CSC is the 4-digit number printed on the front of the card directly above the embossed account number. Visa, MasterCard and Discover: The CSC is the 3-digit number printed on the signature panel on the back of your card.

What service fees will be charged when I place an order?
Each order will include a service fee of $1.95 per gift card or certificate, which covers the cost of U.S. Mail shipping, packaging, and customer service. Service fees will not be applied to gift certificates when a MyChoice Certificate is being redeemed as long as the Gift Code is redeemed for the equal dollar value of the gift cards and no upgrade in shipping is selected.

Where are gift cards shipped from?
Gift cards are shipped from our fulfillment center which is located in Austin, Texas.

Do you ship outside the U.S.?
MyChoice Gift Cards cannot ship merchant gift cards internationally, to P.O. Boxes, or to APO/FPO addresses.

If I send my gift via U.S. Mail or Priority Mail, when will it be delivered?
There is generally a one business day processing time before gift cards are mailed from our fulfillment center in Austin, Texas. U.S. Mail shipments are sent with First Class service, which generally delivers within 5 - 7 business days. Priority Mail service generally delivers within 3 business days. However, since postal delays may occur, please allow 4 business days for USPS Priority Mail and 10 business days for USPS First Class Mail deliveries.

My gift was sent by mail and it hasn’t been received yet. What should I do?
If your order was shipped by U.S. Mail, please allow 13 days for delivery from the date it shipped. Be aware that gift cards are shipped in a plain white double-window envelope, which for card security reasons does not list QuickGifts or the merchant name in the return address. Please double-check to make sure this envelope has not been overlooked, and also confirm the mailing address listed on your order confirmation. If the card has not been received, please submit a Customer Service inquiry or call 1-800-440-2065.

Please note: MyChoice Gift Cards will not be responsible for merchandise that is undeliverable or not received due to the purchaser's failure to enter accurate delivery information, including physical and email addresses, or when 60 days have passed since the date MyChoice Gift Cards shipped the gift card(s).

If I send my gift via email, when will it be delivered?
When you place an order for a MyChoice Certificate or merchant gift card to be sent/notified by email, you will be asked to select a date to send the gift. If you select “Today” as the date to send, your gift will be sent immediately upon confirmation of the order. Gifts with a future date to send will be automatically sent from our system during the early morning hours of the date selected.

My gift was sent by email and it hasn’t been received. What should I do?
A variety of reasons can prevent a recipient from being able to receive an email from MyChoice Gift Cards and others. Most common reasons include:

  • Recipient's spam setting is very high (sender is not on the safe list)
  • Recipient's firewall blocks the email
  • Recipient's email inbox has exceeded its size limit
  • Invalid email address
  • Email is accidentally deleted by the recipient


  • As the purchaser of a gift sent via email, you will receive a copy of the email that is sent to your recipient. You may always forward or copy and paste this email and send it from your own email address. Otherwise, please submit a Customer Service inquiry or call 1-800-440-2065 and we will resend the certificate.

    Account and Order Status

    Do I need to have a QuickGifts account to place an order with MyChoice Gift Cards?
    No. Anyone may place an order with MyChoice Gift Cards regardless of whether you have signed-up for an account with QuickGifts. Simply shop for the gift cards you would like, and proceed through the check-out process.

    However, as a QuickGifts registered user, you can enjoy using multiple free benefits that will maximize the convenience of your shopping experience. Special features include:
    • Event Reminders Never forget the important dates that mean a lot to family and friends. All you have to do is provide us with your special occasions and date and QuickGifts will send you an email reminder 1, 3 or 5 days prior to your event.
    • Personal Calendar Login and see what your events calendar looks like for this month, next month or next year. Your calendar will display your special occasions, as well as nationally celebrated holidays. Whether it is your best friend’s birthday, Boss’ Day or Grandparent’s Day, your personal calendar will let you know.
    • Order History Keeping track of all your gift purchases has never been easier! Once you register, we will begin recording your purchases. You can then view a summary of all your past orders and click through to see a detailed report for each, including the date it was redeemed.
    • Express Checkout Simplify your shopping experience. We will have your contact information already displayed so you can click through and checkout with ease.
    • Address Book Maintain all of your recipient’s address information in one place, and automatically input saved addresses into your order form to make gift giving quick and easy.
    How do I create an account?
    You may create an account when placing an order at MyChoice Gift Cards by clicking the Create Account link underneath the address book on the left-hand side of the page. You may also sign-up at any time by visiting the Account Sign-up page.

    Can I store billing and/or shipping addresses from previous orders?
    If you are signed into your account when you place an order, you have the option to save or update shipping addresses in your Address Book for one-click access during future orders. Your billing address is also stored in your account, but may be edited during checkout if it has changed or you are using a new credit card with a different billing address.

    Can I store my credit card information in my account?
    For your security and privacy, MyChoice Gift Cards does not store credit card information in your account. You will be required to enter all credit card information, including the Card Security Code (CSC) each time you place an order at MyChoiceGiftCards.com.

    What do I do if I forgot my password?
    If you have forgotten your password, enter your email address on the Password Help page and we will send your password to you.

    Where can I access my order history?
    If you have an account and are signed-in, you may view a complete history of orders placed by visiting the Order History page. You can also view an individual order by going to the Order Status page.

    How can I track my order?
    You can track your order online by going to the Order Status page and entering either your Order Confirmation Number or your Reference Number. You will then see the details of your order, including the date/time your order shipped.

    How do I remove my email address so I no longer receive marketing emails?
    To unsubscribe from promotional emails, go to the unsubscribe page and submit your email address. Please be aware that you may still receive order-related correspondence from MyChoice Gift Cards (such as order confirmations, fulfillment notifications, etc.) if you send or receive a MyChoice Gift Cards order in the future. However, we will no longer send discounts or special offer emails to you at this address.
